Preparing your business to be compliant with Work Health & Safety (WHS) can be overwhelming. Let us help you break it down.

If you are a Business Owner:

As a business owner you are required to provide first aid equipment and ensure each worker at the workplace has access to the equipment.

A portable first aid kit should be provided in the vehicles of mobile workers if that is their workplace.

(Section 3.1)

A person in the workplace should be nominated to maintain a businesses first aid kit(s) to ensure any items are replaced as soon as practicable after use.

Did you know that most products inside first aid kits have an expiry of 2-3 years, after that time they should be replaced.

If you are an Employee:

As an employee you do not NEED to own a first aid kit. It is up to your employer to provide you with adequate first aid equipment while at work. But it definitely doesn't hurt to have your own handy.
